Protecting a Large Financial Client Across Multiple Global Sites

Our client is a large global financial enterprise with an estate stretching across multiple countries. Its operations in EMEA and APAC require multiple busy office spaces, each requiring advanced security solutions. Frontline has exclusively managed the integrated security in these offices for over ten years. We design and deliver upgrades and new installations when needed and maintain system optimisation with ongoing service and maintenance.

The Client’s Challenge

Like all modern enterprise companies, our client places responsibility for the safety of its people and customers at the centre of its values. It has thousands of employees who regularly visit different sites and, since COVID, use a hot-desking model rather than sitting at the same location every day. It must ensure their safety at all times and be able to accurately locate them within the business. Financial regulators across international jurisdictions demand tiered security clearance, ensuring that certain office areas – such as those containing customer data and auditing records – are segmented and inaccessible by unauthorised employees.

The client required a security partner that could help it meet regulatory compliance standards, make its service team available at short notice to resolve any developing issues, and proactively propose improvements to its systems.

When the client’s estate team initially sought support to protect its sites, it also required technical experts with experience of a wide range of hardware and software. In particular, it needed engineers and project managers who understood the scale and complexity of Tyco’s C•CURE system and could extract the most effective and efficient use of its functionality.

Frontline’s Solution

Frontline met the client’s criteria and executed an outstanding installation programme covering access control systems, CCTV cameras, intruder alarms, turnstiles, barriers and intercoms across all EMEA and some APAC sites. In total, more than 600 cameras, 1,000 card readers, and 25 NVRs have been installed by Frontline engineers over the course of the engagement.

Following successful installation and integration through CCURE, our service and maintenance team have continued to optimise the client’s systems. The client particularly appreciates our Professional Engineering Services (PES) Team, who are available on short notice to resolve issues and propose improvements.

Our relationship with the world’s leading manufacturers has allowed us to present new technologies such as mobile credentials, facial recognition, and thermal imaging. The client has chosen to trial some of these technologies and is confident in our ability to execute the upgrade when it’s ready.

The access control design and installation have allowed the client to leverage access data to produce reports demanded by regulatory bodies and assess space usage, improving space optimisation. Knowing which areas are being underutilised arms the client with opportunities to make energy savings, improve sustainability, and potentially reduce their estate footprint.

Our commitment to provide added value above and beyond the client’s expectations has been greatly received. The client has commended the level of our service, the availability and quality of our engineers, our experience working with multiple manufacturers, and our understanding of a broad range of emerging technologies.

Conclusion

Frontline’s ongoing relationship with this client demonstrates our ability to dig deep into the challenges faced by financial businesses and produce outstanding solutions suited to the specifics of the sector. We’re particularly pleased that the client recognises the strength of our service team and maintenance engineers, who push themselves to resolve issues whenever they occur and provide long-term resolutions rather than short-term fixes.
